Dr. Elizabeth Peters, Founder & Chair
As Founder and Chair, I strategically and intuitively plan our non-profit's objectives and mission, relying on a dedicated team to address community technological needs. My passion for growth and a keen eye for visual storytelling capture our vision as we continue to empower the youth. We have successfully developed five computer labs and are starting our sixth project in collaboration with partners from various industries and disciplines. Additionally, we are covering tuition costs for students to support their educational journey further.
Emmy Nteziryayo, Co-Founder, Treasurer & Board Member
With over a decade of philanthropy experience and a track record of managing financial actions for various healthcare companies since 1994, Emmy's responsibilities encompass financial planning and spearheading initiatives to achieve operational goals that translate into reliable financial projections. From the outset, Emmy has supported OHFKO's fundraising and marketing efforts.
Impactful Stories
Project #1 - 2018 - Bless A Child Foundation
Our first project inspired patients at Bless a Child Foundation, Makerere Kikoni, Kampala, Uganda, to awaken technological skills.
Project #2 - 2018 - Kamonyi Community Schools
One Hope for Kidz organization provided school supplies to Kamonyi community schools in Rwanda. Kamonyi community is a large community that is comprised of eight schools and 1400 students.
Project #3 - 2018-2019 - Kaleke Kasome Children's Services
One Hope for Kidz Organization donated furniture and computers to Kaleke Kasome Children Services, Mpigi, Uganda, for the established computer lab to improve the youth's technological skills.
Project #4 2020- 2021 - Kitende Modern School
At Kitende Modern School, Entebbe, Uganda, students were empowered by establishing a computer lab to provide technology accessibility to the youth.
Project #5 - 2022 - 2023 Salama School of the Blind
2022 was a humbling year for the One Hope for Kidz Organization team. We were blessed to work with Salama School of the Blind, Mukono, Uganda, as we developed a computer lab with JAWS software integrated devices for accessibility purposes to promote computer literacy skills.

One Hope for Kidz Organization team delivered computers to the Commune High School - Kitende, Uganda, to empower the youth in technology!

New Direction for 2025/2026 - Tuition Support STEM Students
This year's project will focus on providing financial support to STEM students by covering their school fees for a full academic year. This new focus will allow us to closely monitor and foster the educational progress of these students without the burden of tuition costs. As of January 2025, OHFKO has assisted over 20 students by paying their tuition fees. The first semester is covered; however, two more semesters still need to be paid for. Our objective for 2026 is to double the number of students we support and continue increasing it yearly.
